I think I look more like I am a full-time worker studying part-time than a full-time student working part-time.
While laylay broke her OT record, so did I!
Left office at almost 9pm today. I can't believe that I actually survived the day.

Following my previous post 'Shit...' @ 5:36am......
The reason for that post was simple. I didn't realise it was already 5 in the morning and I had to wake up at 730am for work, knowing that I will be clearing loads of work for the day. Obviously I woke up in a lousy mood and dragged myself to work. Starbucks was my savior for the day. (and also the reason why I am still awake now... -_=)
Gah. My sleep debt is accumulating for all the wrong reasons and it's rocketing sky high. Zzz.

After a few posts in the early part of the day, I am back again!
I felt like I've made a few accomplishments today. heh.

Anyways, on my way to night class today, I spotted a new game shop in Northpoint. Walked in, and WA-LA! RRRTV Party was staring right at me! So without second thoughts, I bought it.
2nd victory for the day. :D

Then, I went for ear piercing! Like, FINALLY! hahahah.
3rd victory for the day! Hooray!

Survived macroecons night lecture.
4th victory for the day! Hip hip hurray!

我总是有不明的伤。有时真不知道为什么会受伤。朋友都说我不会照顾自己。其实是有一点啦。哈哈。

上个星期不知道怎么弄伤手指。又瘀青又不能动我的手指。只好包了两天的膏药布。

前几天打羽球时，被拍子打伤了额头。现在额头上也有瘀青。哈哈。

今早在Guardian spree了“我的美丽日记”。有点意外在那里看到“我的美丽日记”。很像是exclusive in Guardian喔。刚好，最近才在懊恼着我快要用完的“存货”。所以当我看到特价时，就毫不犹豫地spree!买了三盒。嘿。超开心的。

Indulgence.

Yes, I am still soaking in the first podium for Alonso & Renault this season. After what seemed like a ride to hell, Alonso & Renault have just proven themselves. No staged-crash needed. No gimmicks needed. Just pure racing pace + driver's skill. Luck factored in but it was also thanks to Alonso's consistency and determination that allowed him to be bump up the ranks.

Another major point which many of the press missed out was that, Alonso clocked the fastest lap @ lap 53 with 1:48:240. This further proves that they are truly worthy of the podium.

Seriously, ain't Alonso destined with Singapore GP or what?! :D:D:D

On another slightly disturbing matter.

I have been getting these weird dreams for 3 consecutive nights. They somehow linked up to become a mini soap drama which actually gave me an idea for a story. (Sadly, I don't have the time to pen a story at the moment...) Everything felt so surreal. The people, surroundings, events. I hope it will stop. Because I could feel the emotions I am feeling in the dream. It was as though I was there. Although it was a nice feeling, but it is not good to be indulging in a fantasy.

Time to sleep. Start of another studious week. Yawnns.

Upcoming shag days...

Realization only hit me today that I am going to have a super shag upcoming 8 months. That is, if I want to have the ultimate balance between study, work, play and friends. Well, I did not feel the pinch when I was penning out my monthly schedule, not yet I guess. I thought I will be able to sail through it smoothly.

Guess not. Hah.

School started on Tuesday and so did my sleep debt. Having cleared a bit of my sleep debt for the past 2 weeks, I am back to accumulating them. How bad was it? I drooled a little when I feel asleep in the train while on my way home. Opps.

Strangely, I feel motivated. Although I suspect that the anticipation of F1 @ Singapore and the thought of Alonso in Singapore right now is my current drug-addiction at the moment. I have been feeding on it since last Sunday and getting 'higher' as the race draw closer. Not to mention the highly speculated (and possible) move for Alonso to Ferrari in 2010. Luca di Montezemolo (Ferrai President) had, for the first time, gave the strongest hint on Wednesday with regards to this so-called 'most anticipated open secret within the paddock'. Everyone is so waiting for this to happen. Dream team. I said it, and I will said it again. Ferrari-Alonso-Massa = Dream team = Winning formula. We will see how the story unfolds within the next few weeks.

Geez. Talk about being side-track. :D

My aim for school is to get first-class honors eventually. Having wasted so much time (in God knows what I was doing/thinking), there really isn't another option. Although I have to admit, that it is quite unlikely I will be able to make the cut. I will still try my best though. This time round, putting in my 110%. It is tough, despite the typical slack course SIM portrays. Or rather, the slack attitude that I had chose to display for the past few years. Opps again. But I guess I will manage. I have to do it. No more wasting time.

It really isn't easy to juggle between studies and work. Even though mine is just a part-time job, I do take my job seriously, as though it is a full-time job. (Although I do go to work late... pretty frequently. Opps yet again.) But other than that, I am 100% all in when it comes to work. Because I know I am already one step (or possibly a few steps) behind from everyone else in many ways, I have no choice but to make up for it. Plus it is my good fortune to have 2 wonderful bosses who did not mind my accounting background (I failed it), and still chose to hire me. On top of that, they are willing to teach me despite their busy schedule. (Although I think my bosses will say that they have to teach since we will be the ones producing the work eventually. Rather for us to learn and do, than to do while in a mess. hee.) For that, I have no way of repayment but to learn as much as I can and do my best at work.
I have to say, I think I have the makings of a workaholic. I'm not sure if that is a good or bad thing though. Maybe it is still too early to say, since it is a part-time job for me afterall. I do not have the responsibilities of a full-timer, so I would not be able to feel it yet. We'll see...

If any of my friends are reading this, I think you can expect to see me less in the upcoming months. No more MJs, lesser KTV, lesser outings. Badminton will still go on though, despite my annoying Saturday morning lecture.. Exercise ftw. :D

Until then, it is study, work, study, work...

I came up with a rather interesting conclusion about myself today. Which I thought was pretty cool, well, in a way.

My conclusion for the day: I get motion sickness without music.

Weird huh. But I find it pretty damn true. I had a 2nd occurrence today and this had to be it.

The first time it happened, I was in a taxi about a week ago. It was dead silence when I stepped into the cab. My first encounter in a vehicle without music, and it felt weird to me. To begin with, I cannot stand to live without music. So weird aura left me a little unsettling. Thinking it would (what have supposed to) be a short trip, I thought I would survive the trip. However, the silence grew in my head and I was suddenly have headaches, to a point that it actually felt like exploding. The silence was deafening and I could hear them, literally. The worst thing that could ever happen, happened. The taxi driver misheard my destination and drove me to another part of the city. I cringed at the point of realization. By then, I was breaking into cold sweat and having dizzy spells. The next thing I know, I was trying my best to push down that something in my throat which was forcing its way out of my mouth. The silence was insane as we buzzed through the streets and I wanted to wind down the window. It was to a point whereby even noises would have helped, except that I was in too weak a state to even do that. That half an hour journey was the worst vehicle experience ever despite the good driving from the driver. I have to give credit to him because it wasn't his fault. The moment I alighted, the thing in my throat came up to my mouth. This may sound gross, but I actually swallowed it back. It wasn't a lot, and heck, I didn't want to vomit on the streets while carrying my luggage in my heels & dress.
I was almost half dead by the time I reached home, ended up eating plain porridge and slept through the next 10 hours that night. But I dismissed that as a one-time incident. Something I hope would be the first and the last.

The 2nd weird occurrence happened today. I had a bad omen before leaving home when I realized that I did not charge my psp. My handphone's earpiece wasn't working so I had been relying on my psp. I thought I could survive a day, and I was so wrong. Halfway during the journey from Yishun to Pioneer, the sick feeling came back. With only dizzy spell this time round. I felt so sick that I had to sit on the floor (since there was no seats and I wasn't near any). So in the end, I barely survived badminton. Did some really nice shots (some of my best, in fact) at the start of the game and that was it. I lasted for less than 45 minutes. There after, it was breaks longer than match. HA.

It might have been random, or it might have been separate incidents. But I thought it might be true too. I simply cannot stand silence ringing in my head. :S

Waking up at 4pm to a dream that actually felt real is.. weird. (Athough it felt good because I haven't nua like this since the start of the holiday) I am surprise with the dream I had because it set me thinking a little. Have I been thinking about it unknowingly in the daytime, which resulted in this dream of mine? Maybe I did, but my auto-defense mechanism would have done its thing and pushed it out of my thinking box.

Well, I hope blogging will help. Don't really want to be thinking on this issue, at least not for now. So after this post, I hope everything will remain here.

On a side note, IT IS AUGUST!
I hope I will survive August happily & smoothly.

I think I am going to suffer from F1 thirst for the next 1 month.

I was very excited when Alonso finally scored his first podium for this season, and his 18th podium in his race career. Sadly he had to retire cause of fuel pump & tyre issues.

Wells. Still hoping the best for Alonso since they have gotten back their pace! Ferrari & McLaren are back in business too! Now the WDC will be interesting. Brawn seems to be struggling in this later half of the season. Let's see if the Red Bulls duo will catch up to Button.

As the F1 politics begins to settle, we can finally enjoy some real racing.

Countdown to 21st Aug Valencia, Spain , Alonso's homeground!

Damn sad. Renault is suspended for the Valencia race due to the wheel coming off from Alonso's car. IMO, I think Renault were being 'butchered' to serve as a warning to all teams due to the recent death & accident n motor-racing. 杀一儆百. Shrugs. I hope Renault win the appeal. Alonso is going to be so, so disappointed if he missed his homeground race.

What an uneventful day for Alonso.

Seriously, it is a great change in feeling (finally) for today. I started my day early in the morning being nagged non-stopped right from the moment I woke up and was on the verge of starting a fight. It is as though there is a bee buzzing right at your ear 24/7. Except that, it stirs emotions, especially pent-up frustrations. Logic, as usual, held me back with all its strength.

For the rest of the day at work, I just was lethargic, trying my best to focus on my work. Have been doing database keying since last week. A pretty boring task with only a slight usage or brain cells. Of course, it was not enough to distract me. Thank God I was suddenly given another task. Something that requires more brain power that entertained me for the rest of the afternoon. The day ended not in a bad fashion, but I was just feeling sour throughout. (Don't ask)

Came home and prepared to hide in my room for the rest of the night to avoid seeing and communicating someone, and being nagged at with or without reason. Just as I was prepared to sulk through the rest of the night, I read the best thing ever n this 3 week F1 hiatus period before the next race:

Gee! Finally some confirmation after years of speculations! Everyone knew Alonso will be heading to Ferrari sooner or later, only the matter of when. I thought I had to wait till 2011 before I see Alonso in the red maranello outfit since Alonso, Massa & Kimi has contracts till end of 2010.
I hope Ferrari will keep Massa since Ferrari-Alonso-Massa is my F1 dream team!!

If all things are true, I will be the happiest girl next weekend and I am sure I will be unbelievably hyped up for the whole of next week.

I am already feeling excited right now.

"Crackers" is a fireworks disaplay in Yishun, in lieu with Singapore Arts Festival for today and tomorrow. Of course I wouldn't miss a fireworks, not especially when it is just outside my house. So I went, along with st, lay, wd & fund after ktv. It might not have been the most spectacular fireworks display, but it was definitely overwhelming. (Then again, it might just be me.) The fireworks display was all around us, giving us a 360-degree of sight, hear & smell of the fireworks. All I did was to lift up my head, look into the sky, and there it was, fireworks all around me.
Beautiful... and short-lived... as always...

Frustrations

It is so hard to be smiling and 'entertaining' every single individual when we are at our mental threshold. There are times when I just feel like sticking my middle finger (not literally) and get the world to fuck off.
It is unbelievably tiring to be juggling with work, financial issues, studies, own company and interpersonal relationship, especially when half the people doesn't gives a shit anyways.

When I am at all smiles, people take that for what I should be.
Yet when I am all down, they might ask, "what the hell is wrong with you?", and probably start shying from me.
Since I am no longer the fun and exciting one.

People come and go.
I guess it is time I re-evaluate those people who truly care, and people who no longer do. Then only I won't be so hard on myself.

I get it that people have their life and we are all busy in our own ways.
Thus, the limited times on gatherings.
Then, we have the phone, where we can always call upon each other for some short updates.
Yet, people can be REALLY busy. Yes, I know.
But when even a simple sms that will probably take at most 1 minute of your time, doesn't even get your attention, it just shows how much you care.

If you don't care, then don't expect me to.

Thanks to my clumsiness, I fed lappy with 100plus last week. So for the last 1 week, I could barely type. Many advised me to get a temporary keyboard, but no, since I do not have the extra cash. Even if I do, I would be saving up for a new desktop instead.

Out of nowhere, a weird thought clicked my mind awhile ago,
"I think we have spare keyboard!", and spare keyboards we have.
The best part?
I found a wireless keyboard and mouse.
So with my resourcefulness, I came up with yet another brilliant idea.
"How about, I shift my table (with my laptop) to the front of my bed?"

So now I am happily using lappy at the comfort of lying on my bed, with a good keyboard and mouse, accompanied by my 3 monsters.

Alonso - My driver of the day

A huge chunk of biasness aside, Alonso is my driver of the Spanish Grand Prix.

I was pretty disappointed to know that Alonso was the lightest of the top 10 after qualify. It was probably yet another attempt to score a good position with a light-fuel strategy to give his Spanish fans something to cheer about. Yet with that, he only managed P8 in the final rounds of qualifying. Renault have improved as compared to the first race of the season, but not much, and definitely not enough.
This just goes to show the poor performance of the car.

Just when it seemed like what will be a tough race for him, he actually managed a 5th (with a little bit of luck), right behind the dominating Brawn GP and Red Bull contender.

For a mundane racetrack (the Catalunya circuit is tough on over-taking), Alonso actually managed to inject some life and action to it.
He took the opportunity after the safety car went out, and battled Mark Webber for 5th position, though eventually losing out to the latter. Then it was greeting his old time teammate-cum-rival, Lewis Hamilton, with what almost seemed like a nudge, just as he exited the pit lane. With a bit of luck (and bad luck to Massa), he charged up to Massa till the final lap with a 16s gap and went outside of him, taking 5th place in style.

My hero aside, Mark Webber come up with a quiet and surprise 3rd. It totally caught me off-guard, and the next thing I know, he was up on 3rd. Good call on the early first pit, and running a longer second stint I must say.

What can Massa and Kimi do? It must be really frustrating to finally have a car with good pace, and yet face ridiculous problems. Wrong call (again) in qualifying, the car breaking down just after a few laps and not enough fuel to run till the end of the race? After what seemed like a promising start, Ferrari have left the fans in yet another disappointing week.
Although Massa did well in the race to grab that 3rd spot from Vettel at the start of the race, hanging on throughout the race, and not giving up till the last minute of the race.

Great strategy call from Button too. It was exciting to watch the Brawn playing strategy games for their drivers for top position.

Side note: I got pretty annoyed with some of the post-race reports. Then again, I should have been all too familiar that not every reports are 100% accurate. The Renaults did not have KERS on their car, and will probably not for the next few races. Those reports need to get their facts right and stop saying that Alonso attempted on Webber using KERS.
Tssk. Media nowadays. We should know better.

All in all, this race had been one of the more exciting race yet.
